Terry D. Burns, 47, life long resident of Tonkawa passed away in his home, Thursday, July 16, 2009. Terry was born November 30, 1961 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Don and Loretta (Creek) Burns.

Terry grew up in Tonkawa and graduated from Tonkawa High School.

He enjoyed snow skiing, sky diving and being around family and friends. His greatest enjoyment was watching his nieces and nephews playing sports.

He is survived by his sister, Pam and her husband, Robert Wilder of Yukon, Oklahoma; his brothers, Joe Burns of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Benny and his wife, Rachael Burns of Vandalia, Illinois, John and his wife, Kim Burns of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Eddie and his wife, Patti Burns of Piedmont, Oklahoma; eleven nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Frank and Freda Burns, Webster and Edna Creek.

Terry requested to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Tonkawa Funeral Home, Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
