Rosemary B. Enfield, 83, resident of Tonkawa, Oklahoma passed away in Integris Blackwell Regional Hospital December 20, 2008.   Rosemary was born June 27, 1925 in San Jose, California to Forrest and Rose Ann (Schauer) Carnahan.

Rosemary grew up in Denver, Colorado attending school there and Denver Colorado University. She was a member of the Rico Women’s Club in Rico, Colorado.         

Rosemary moved to Tonkawa in 1969 to live with her parents and nine years later she met and married Claude W. Enfield, they have celebrated thirty years of marriage.

Rosemary was a farmer’s wife for 30 years. After retiring she and Claude would spend six months in Tonkawa and then six months in the mountains of Colorado where her grandmother owned and mined the Johnny Bull claims. She found great joy in going back to the mountains each year.

She is survived by her husband, Claude of the home; her daughter, Sheri Camarda of Blackwell, Oklahoma; her son, David Kelnhofer of Wenatchee, Washington; a sister Rachel Kreutzer of Bullhead City, Arizona; her grandchildren, David Camarda, Vicky Cauthorn, Rick Camarda, Ruth Camarda, Heather Hatcher, John Skerlock; nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Tonkawa Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Thomasson officiating. Interment will follow in the Tonkawa I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Tonkawa Funeral Home, Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick, Dave Camarda and Josh Cornsilk, Gary and Donald Enfield and Joe Kreutzer.  

Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Tonkawa Funeral Home, 400 E Grand Ave, Tonkawa, OK 74653.
