Earlene Barns, 85, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma passed away January 7, 2008 at Ponca City Medical Center, Ponca City, OK.  Earlene was born December 25, 1922 in Roy, Montana to John and Alice Mae (Potterf) Myers.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Tonkawa, Oklahoma with Dr. Richard Thomasson officiating.  Arrangements are under the     direction of Tonkawa Funeral Home, Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

Earlene graduated from Tonkawa High School and NOC.  She was a homemaker and loved to bake for everyone she came in contact with.  She loved to feed the birds in her yard.

Earlene married Ralph E. Barns February 24, 1951 and he preceded her in death December 18, 1994.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Barns of Tonkawa,  Oklahoma; her daughter, Debra Barns of Hays, Kansas; two grand children, Olivia Heaton and Taylor Inscore; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Clarence, Everette and Leo Myers.
