
Dannie E. Spiser, 79, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
former resident of Tonkawa passed away January 26,
2010 in Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Dannie was born March 29, 1930 at Tonkawa,
Oklahoma to Oscar Winfield and Jenny (Partner)
Spiser.
Dannie
grew up in Tonkawa graduating from Tonkawa High
School. He worked a year at Dorsett Food Market
before joining the U.S. Army September 1,1950,
serving two years during the Korean War in the 45th
Infantry Division and received the Bronze Star. He
then moved to Oklahoma City where he worked as a
Hydrologist for the Oklahoma Water Resources Board
for over forty years before retiring in 1993.
Dannie was
a member of the American Legion and the Cherokee
Hills Christian Church in Oklahoma City. He love to
garden, do woodworking crafts and was a great
humorist.
He is
survived by his children, Lee Lawrence and his wife,
Tanya of Edmond, Oklahoma, Greg Spiser, Michael
Spiser, and Stephanie Storozyszyn and her husband,
Myron all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his sister,
Betty Whitley and his brother, Jimmy Spiser and
wife, Lousia all of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; his former
wife, Mary Spiser; his grandson, Brent Lawrence;
numerous nieces, nephew and other family members.
He is
preceded in death by his first wife,
Normajean(Stephens) Spiser in February of 2001; his
parents; his siblings, Gene Cunnings, Noami Hurd,
Velma Coffman, Angie Wardell, Cora Knox, Glenn,
Billy and Sammy Spiser.
Funeral
Services will be Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00
p.m. in the Chapel of the Tonkawa Funeral Home with
Pastor Lenny Hisey of the Cherokee Hills Christian
Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tonkawa I.O.O.F.
Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are
under the direction of Tonkawa Funeral Home,
Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Joe, Tommy, Greg and Mike Spiser,
Lee Lawrence and Myron Storozyszyn; Honorary will be
Jimmy and Darrin Spiser, Laverne Laws, Lonnie Bray,
John Irwin and Dick Rogers.

may be made to the Cherokee Hills Christian Church
in the care of Tonkawa Funeral Home, 400 E. Grand
Ave., Tonkawa, Oklahoma 74653.
