On March 18, 2010, Audie Le Nora Chandler Reeder
went to spend the rest of her eternal life with God.
She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on Dec. 18.1917.
She grew up in Ponca City with her mom and dad, Carl
and Marie (Murphy) Chandler, and her sisters, Nona
and Zella, and brother Raymond.
Audie
married William R. Reeder and moved to Louisiana,
where she spent the next twenty years raising a
family, teaching special education and Sunday
school. She loved art projects, often times you
could find her sewing or making ceramics. Another
love was planning long family vacations all across
the U.S., but her favorite trips were with Bill,
dropping a fishing line wherever there was a body of
water.
After the
love of her life passed, Audie moved back to Ponca
City to care for her mom and dad in their final
years, and spend time with “The Girls” Dema Combs
and Jane Bryant. Audie has been lovingly cared for
by the staff of Grace Living Center for the last six
years.
She is
survived by her daughters Julie Hall and her
husband, Victor of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and
Lorie Chance of Albuquerque, New Mexico;
granddaughters Megan and Shelby Smith, and Kayla
Chance Snell; her brother Raymond Chandler of Fort
Worth, Texas; her brother in law Wayne Bass of Ponca
City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is
preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her
two sisters, Nona Bass and Zella Chandler.
Graveside
services will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Ponca
City, Oklahoma, Monday, March 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m.
